I received this product at a discount for review purposes, all opinions are my own.
There are all these studies that say you're supposed to limit kids' screen time, and depending on who I talk to determines if I get shamed for letting technology babysit my kids. Well if it gives me some free time to use the bathroom in peace and have a second to breathe, then they can have at it. It works for us and keeps me from losing my minds some days.
With all these electronics though comes an endless number of chargers to not only keep up with, but to untangle at least once every few hours. OK, well maybe not every few hours, but it sure feels like it on the days that I'm overwhelmed with craziness.
The inventor of the Multi USB Charger Cable must have had me in mind when they created these things. I have purchased and reviewed other multi-chargers in the past and they were great, but when I found this 6 in 1 at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DK13VZ6, it blew my mind. This can't be real. I was over the top excited to see how many connectors were included: a USB C, a 8-pin Lightning, 2 Micro USB, a Mini USB, and the USB 2.0 that connects to the power source. With this many connectors, charging up to five compatible devices at the same time is very well worth every penny. See the list of compatible devices and the price here.
The manufacturer lists the following compatible devices:
Gone are the days of remembering to bring individual chargers and drawing straws to see who gets to charge their device first based on who has the most battery life available. My husband has a Galaxy Note 5 and until about 2 weeks ago I had the Note 4 so we were forever debating on who can use the single Micro USB car charger. Now that I have the Galaxy S8 I have an actual use for the USB C and he can charge his phone and blue tooth headphones at the same time if needed.
At home I have been charging my phone, iPad Mini, and Surface Pro tablet at the same time, while using my phone's fast charger with a relatively quick charge time. The concern about possible overheating has thankfully not been an issue thus far, but will update if this becomes an issue. The only issue I have encountered is the length of the cord. Quite often I need to plug up one of my devices while still using it, the 5.3 inch cord doesn't make this a convenient reality for me, but it is definitely not a deal breaker.
Every electronic lover should add one of these Chafron 6 in 1 Multi USB chargers to their collection.
