Living in an apartment has it's perks, but there are also the downsides, some that are just plain old annoying. One of the things that I despise about apartment living is not being able to make changes. Some things you learn to live with, but then there are those trivial things like the location of the front door and not being able to hear when someone is knocking that just makes no sense to anyone with the slightest idea of designing a floor plan.
Having moved numerous of times since my early twenties, one thing that I have always felt would make my life a little bit easier in an apartment (especially in Texas) is a doorbell. I don’t know what it is with the designs of the apartments that I choose to live in, but visitors usually have to beat on the door like they’re the police before we hear it and by that time, it's sometimes too late. This has become an even bigger problem since my mom moved in with me. She refuse to admit that she has a hard time hearing, but quite often when she’s home alone she locks the top lock; you know the one that usually doesn’t have a key to unlock it from outside. I can’t tell you how many times I get home and have to stand outside beating on the door and often times walk around the apartment to knock on her window. I wish that she would get her ears checked because even calling her phone is a hit and miss, but that’s probably never going to happen.
To save myself the hurt hands and all the extra hoopla when I get home and to stop the pointless argument, I have found a solution. No more worrying about not hearing the knocking at the door, this wireless doorbell is a lifesaver.
You can have this doorbell installed and ready to use anywhere that needs an easy to use notification system before you can finish saying “Who’s there?”
1. Easy to Install
Installing this wireless doorbell was so easy, my 3 year old could do it. Pull the backing off the included double-sided tape and stick it to the back of the doorbell and then attach it to the area outside that you want to set up the doorbell. Plug in the receiver into any available electrical outlet inside and viola, installation complete. Seriously, I told you a 3 year old could do it.
2. Fun for the Kids
My boys have been over the top excited since we installed the doorbell. Every time we go outside CJ wants to ring the bell. I’m sure it’s more than just the act of pressing the button. The receiver has three buttons that allows the songs to be changed. Choosing between the tones has been like a variety show for them. They sing along to the familiar tones like “Happy Birthday to you” and “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and dance to all the others that they’re not too familiar with. If I let them, they would probably be entertained with the 30+ tone options.
3. All the technical Stuff
So I have told you what we like about the wireless doorbell, but here is all the technical stuff from the manufacturer. Check it out for yourself
This wireless doorbell is not only easy to install, but it’s also waterproof. With multiple tones and volume that can be adjusted from the receiver, you can have a different “song” every day of the month. Say bye bye to not hearing the knocking at the door.
