I purchased the #BalticEssentials amber necklace at a discount for review purposes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V3KJ0CU.
Opinions are 100% my own.
All babies go through the teething phase, and at the risk of sounding cliche, all babies are different and obviously handle teething differently. What is consistent however is that it happens, it hurts, and thankfully they don't remember it when it's over; it doesn't make it any easier for us as parents to watch though. I have yet to meet a mom who enjoys seeing her baby in pain.
How do we make it better though? Do any of the remedies really work?
Marleigh being my third baby in no way makes me an expert, but I have tried the gels and tablets with the boys and sadly nothing worked, at least not for us. If you have had an over the counter remedy that worked for you, then you're one of the lucky ones.
Shortly after my little princess was born some of the mom’s in my due date group on Facebook started talking about amber necklaces and it sparked my interest. There was a lot of discussion about how it worked for all of them. This was something I hadn't tried before and after reading countless articles about the negative side effects of the over the counter options that I had used with my boys, there was no way I was going to use any of those remedies this time around. Most of the other mom’s couldn’t really explain how exactly it works, but this article I found online gave very useful information on how it works. Click here.
I fell in love with this #BalticEssentials amber necklace mostly because it is pretty. The flower embellishments adds a bit of a feminine touch that the other necklaces I've seen just didn't have. I mean teething is rough enough with all the drooling and the sore gums and all, we can at least have pretty accessories in the process right!
My biggest concern was choking, however the cord used to connect the individual pieces are reinforced to prevent breakage and the clasp closure is plastic and can be easily snapped in case of emergency. Also because it is only 13 inches long it is not easy for the baby to pull it far enough to their mouth.
If I could turn back time I wish I had known about this option for my boys because I would have definitely chosen this route versus the traditional western over the counter route.
